Couples Counseling
Are you feeling more like roommates than partners?
Caught in the same arguments without resolution?
Wondering if it’s possible to feel close, understood, and on the same team again?
I approach this work collaboratively, not as a referee, but as a guide helping you both find your way back to each other. We’ll make sense of the patterns you’re stuck in, strengthen communication, and rebuild a sense of safety and trust.
Whether you’re navigating emotional distance, recovering from betrayal, or simply wanting to grow together more intentionally, our work will focus on helping you feel understood, respected, and supported in your relationship. I also support couples through important life transitions, including the shift into parenthood, empty nesting, or retirement—times that can bring both meaning and unexpected strain.
In addition to therapy, I offer premarital counseling and couples enrichment programs for those who want to build a strong foundation or deepen an already healthy relationship. These options are a great fit if you’re hoping to be proactive—strengthening connection, clarifying values, and developing tools that will support you long-term.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including the Gottman Method and Stan Tatkin’s attachment-based work (PACT). These frameworks help us understand the “why” behind your patterns while giving you practical tools to communicate more effectively, manage conflict, and deepen connection.
At its core, couples therapy is about healing old wounds, changing our default patterns, and rediscovering each other—helping you build a relationship that feels secure, resilient, and aligned with who you both are.
Roles in the relationship
Sometimes the roles in the relationship can be unequally distributed, or even realized in the first place, leading to built-up tension and unhappiness.
In couple counseling, we work to understand how and why both parties view the different roles, and how it affects the relationship overall.

What is it good for?
Beliefs and values
Oftentimes, the beliefs and values people have stem from their childhood and past experiences, and when they don't align within the relationship, miscommunication can happen.
Together with a therapist, couples can work towards gaining a clear perspective into each others' beliefs and values.
